We gave support today under our Grassroots out Banner to our colleagues from Vote Leave who were providing a counterbalance to the strong Remain presence. We handed out leaflets at this busy intersection close to Eldon Square in the middle of Newcastle and it was surprising how many people declared that they had already voted OUT by post. So yet again we were preaching to the converted leaving an overall impression for the North East that despite being a net beneficiary of EU funds the people in the North East put our basic Democracy above all other factors. let us hope that the rest of the country has the same feelings.
